Etsy store partnerships · International

We run Etsy stores in your name. You get paid.

The stores are in your name, but Masterz Agency takes full responsibility for them. We do the work, pay every cost and cover any losses, debts and claims. You get £100 when you sign, then 10% of each store’s profit every month, all written into a plain-English agreement.

Registering is free and doesn’t commit you to anything.

£1M+

in Etsy revenue across the stores our team has run. Past results don’t predict future ones. Profit is never guaranteed.

The deal

In one paragraph

You let us open one or more Etsy stores in your name. Our team builds and runs them — products, listings, orders, advertising and customer service. The stores are our responsibility: we pay for all of it, and any losses, debts or claims are ours to pay, not yours. Your part is to verify your identity when Etsy asks and give our team limited access to a personal bank account in your name. You get £100 when you sign and 10% of the profit every month, and that’s the only part you pay tax on.

In the agreement you’re the Signer and we’re the Operator. The clause numbers on this page match the agreement, so you can check anything we say.

02 · Payment Page 1 & clause 3

How you get paid

£100 when you sign, then 10% of every store’s profit, every month. Both are written into your agreement before you sign, and we pay the transfer fees.

When you sign

£100

A one-off fee, earned the moment you sign. It’s yours whatever the stores go on to make.

Paid
The day you sign

Every month

10%

Of each store’s Net Profit, for every month it’s positive, for as long as the agreement runs.

Paid
Within 15 days of month end

We keep the other 90%. Any losing month or store is our loss, and you never pay anything in.

What counts as Net Profit

Store revenue once Etsy has released it, minus the documented costs below.

  • Every cost has to be documented, and it’s only counted once.
  • Any other overhead needs your written agreement first.
  • Your own payments, income taxes and tax reimbursements are never deducted.
  • A losing month or store is never set against another month or store.
  • If Etsy holds money back, only that money is delayed. It’s paid within 10 business days of release, even after the agreement ends.

Worked example with your 10% share. The store figures are an illustration, not a forecast.

Store AA good month
Released revenue£4,000
Transaction taxes−£200
Etsy & payment fees−£480
Refunds−£120
Products−£1,200
Delivery−£400
Advertising−£600
Net Profit£1,000

Your 10% share

£100

Store BA bad month
Released revenue£1,500
Transaction taxes−£75
Etsy & payment fees−£180
Refunds−£95
Products−£700
Delivery−£250
Advertising−£500
Net Profit−£300

Your share

£0

You owe

£0

We absorb the £300. It isn’t carried into next month or taken from Store A.

03 · Who does what Clause 1

Our part, your part

We do the running and carry the cost. Your part is small, but it matters: it’s your name and your identity checks.

Masterz · the Operator

We do and pay for

  • Opening and running every store, with reasonable care
  • Products, listings, orders, advertising and customer service
  • All setup and running costs, including store and account fees
  • Any losses, debts and claims, plus reasonable legal defence costs
  • Tax on our 90%, plus VAT and all business taxes
  • An email with each new store’s name before it’s set up
  • A statement every month
  • Access to our app, so you can track every store’s performance
  • Keeping your details secure under data protection law

You · the Signer

You do

  • Complete Etsy’s ID checks yourself, for every store
  • Do any later checks Etsy, a bank or the law asks for, promptly
  • Keep your details accurate, and tell us when something changes
  • Give our named team limited access to the agreed personal bank account
  • Pay tax on your own earnings only: your 10% and the £100 fee

Written into the agreement

You never

  • Pay a deposit, top-up or contribution
  • Pay for stock, ads, fees or any other store cost
  • Cover a losing month or a losing store
  • Foot the bill for store debts or claims — we cover them

04 · The small print

The rest of the agreement, in plain English

The parts people ask about most: your bank account, tax, confidentiality and leaving.

Clause 2

Your bank account

A personal account in your name (for example Wise), ideally a separate one just for the stores. Our named team members get the access your bank allows, with spending limits written into your agreement.

They can

  • View transactions
  • Receive store proceeds
  • Pay store costs and refunds
  • Pay out agreed earnings

They can’t

  • Borrow or use credit
  • Make personal or unrelated payments
  • Change who owns the account
  • Share logins in ways your bank forbids
  • Pretend to be you

You keep full access. Check the records, or talk to your bank, the authorities or your own adviser, whenever you like. Your ID and account details are used only for this arrangement and kept secure.

Clause 4

You only pay tax on your share

You pay

Tax on your own earnings only: your 10% each month and the £100 fee. In the UK, that includes National Insurance.

We pay

  • Tax on our 90% share
  • VAT and all other business taxes
  • Any tax your tax office charges you on our earnings, plus the accountancy costs and any tax on what we pay back

We fund these before they’re due, or pay you back within 10 business days of seeing the evidence. If there’s ever a question over who owes what, an accountant we both agree on decides, at our cost.

This is a promise between us. It doesn’t bind your tax office (HMRC in the UK), and we both still file the returns we’re required to.

Clause 5

Optional NDA

You choose whether to add one. If you do, it works both ways: we each keep the other’s private business and financial information confidential during the agreement and for 3 years after.

It never stops you

  • Talking to your advisers, bank or Etsy
  • Sharing what the law requires
  • Reporting wrongdoing

Our duty to protect your personal data applies whether or not you choose the NDA.

Clause 6

Ending it

Any reason
Either of us, with 60 days’ notice by email
Serious breach
If it isn’t put right within 14 days of notice
Fraud or misuse of ID
Immediately, as with urgent legal or security risk

When it ends

  • We stop new orders and our access
  • Any closing-down work needs your written consent
  • Existing orders are fulfilled or refunded
  • Final statement and payments within 30 days

Your access to records, our help with tax, our cost and tax promises and any NDA all carry on after it ends.

05 · Before you apply

What to think about first

This isn’t for everyone. Here’s what to weigh up before you go any further.

  1. Profit isn’t guaranteed

Some stores and some months make nothing. Your £100 is fixed, but your 10% will be £0 in any month a store doesn’t make a profit. The first 1–3 months are usually slow, because Etsy holds a new store’s money for up to 90 days.

  2. The stores are in your name

We take full responsibility for the stores and cover any losses, debts and claims. But to Etsy you’re still the seller, and you stay responsible to Etsy. Etsy’s rules apply, including owner participation and limits on transferring accounts, and Etsy can restrict or close a store.

  3. Your identity and a bank account are involved

You’ll do ID checks personally, possibly more than once, and our team will have limited access to a personal bank account in your name. Only go ahead if you’re comfortable with that.

  4. Tax can show up under your name

You only owe tax on your 10% and £100, and we pay the tax on everything else, funded before it’s due. But the stores are in your name, your tax office isn’t bound by our agreement, and you’ll still need to file your own returns.

  5. Take your time

Read the full agreement, ask us anything, and get independent legal or tax advice if you’re unsure. We’d rather you said no than signed something you didn’t understand.

06 · Who you’ll deal with

Hi, I’m Ben.

Manchester, UK

Based in Manchester (and yes, a United fan — we all have our burdens). I’ve been doing this full time for almost two years, with a team that runs the stores day to day.

If you’d rather talk to a person before filling anything in, message me on Instagram.
